Commerce, the parent company of BigCommerce, today announced the expansion of its embedded payment solution, BigCommerce Payments by PayPal, to the UK market. 

Merchants are managing payments across multiple systems. It costs them time, creates friction and keeps money locked in manual processes. BigCommerce Payments gives merchants one place to manage transactions, payouts and account balances. It’s a straightforward value proposition: reduce operational drag, maintain control and focus on growing revenue.

What are BigCommerce Payments?

The BigCommerce Payments architecture is built to ensure transparency and merchant ownership. While BigCommerce Payments is co-branded and embedded into BigCommerce, the merchant’s payment relationship remains directly with PayPal. BigCommerce Payments brings cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Pay Later and digital wallets together in one native checkout. BigCommerce Payments includes a dedicated “Money” dashboard within the BigCommerce Control Panel, offering merchants direct access to manage and monitor their payments and balance activity.

BigCommerce Payments builds on more than a decade of partnership between Commerce and PayPal. The solution launched for U.S. merchants in May 2026, with international expansion planned in phases. The UK is the first market in that rollout.
