Eco 360 Group spent 40 years building Eco Bag into one of the United Kingdom’s best-known recycled bin liner brands. Now, the Huddersfield cleaning products business is hoping to do the same for MACROMAX, its range of mops, buckets, and scourers.

The family-run business, which supplies retailers including Robert Dyas and Morrisons, joined the global marketplace’s Local Seller Program in late December 2025. Within eight weeks, it passed 3,000 sales of its MACROMAX range.

The UK cleaning products market was valued at £10.69 billion in 2024 and is forecast to grow a 4.7% a year with competition intensifying as consumer shopping habits increasingly shift online. For a newer brand without decades of retail presence behind it, gaining visibility quickly mattered. When Managing Director Paolo Margaglionevlisted MACROMAX across several online marketplaces, Temu delivered results faster than the others.

“There’s real growth potential in Temu. We wanted to establish ourselves early,”he said.

Four decades, built in-house

Eco 360 has manufactured cleaning products since the early 1990s, when Margaglione’s father took over a struggling business and rebuilt it into a manufacturing operation in Turkey. Today, it operates in the UK with a 21-person team handling online operations in Huddersfield and distribution in Preston. The company supplies large retailers and supermarkets and sells directly to consumers on several online marketplaces.

The company manufactures all its product moulds in-house, giving it control over design changes and turnaround times that sellers sourcing externally don’t have. That capability let Eco 360 rework and relaunch MACROMAX earlier this year after Margaglione went back through customer feedback and redesigned mop heads, handle attachments, and bucket structures from the ground up.

“We pride ourselves on producing quality products,” said Margaglione. “We want to problem-solve and find solutions.”

Early adoption

Margaglione knew that building a second household brand meant identifying channels where MACROMAX could gain visibility quickly. When he learned that UK businesses could sell on Temu, he moved fast to establish his brand early.

“We see Temu as an alternative selling channel for a totally different audience from other platforms,” Margaglione said. “It brings new revenue and brand exposure.”

Temu’s Local Seller Program, which launched in the UK in 2024, lets domestic businesses sell and fulfil orders locally, cutting delivery times for customers. The programme now operates in more than 30 markets.

The marketplace held more than 100 meetings with trade associations, chambers of commerce, and start-up networks in Europe in the first half of 2026 to understand the difficulties small businesses face in selling online. The practical demands of selling in multiple markets came up consistently, and that feedback informs Temu’s broader support for sellers.

For Eco 360, joining required no new infrastructure or processes. Orders run through the same distribution and dispatch systems the company already uses for its other e-commerce channels.

What’s next?

Margaglione wants MACROMAX to become a recognised UK household brand by 2030, replicating what Eco 360 achieved with Eco Bag. The company will test its products domestically before ramping up production to expand to Europe, with Germany among the first markets it’s targeting.
