Prime Big Deal Days 在 10 月 6 日至 7 日带动美国线上消费 98.6 亿美元,同比增长 8.5%,移动端占 52%,BNPL 贡献 6.923 亿美元,10 月正成为假日购物季的一部分。

Prime Big Deal Days Confirms Holiday Demand Is Moving Into October
Prime Big Deal Days helped drive $9.86 billion in U.S. online spending across October 6 and 7, up 8.5% year over year. The bigger takeaway is not simply that the event grew. October is becoming part of the holiday shopping season itself.

What Changed
Adobe measured $9.86 billion in U.S. online spending during the event, compared with $9.09 billion last year.
Mobile represented 52% of sales, or roughly $5.1 billion. Buy now, pay later accounted for $692.3 million. Discounts peaked near 20%, while categories including toys, electronics, personal care, and seasonal merchandise saw substantial lifts compared with September.
Why It Matters
Brands cannot treat October as the warmup for Black Friday anymore.
Demand is being pulled forward, and price conscious customers are using these events to buy both holiday products and everyday essentials. Inventory, promotions, and media budgets need to support a longer holiday window rather than waiting for late November.
What Is Not Changing
Black Friday and Cyber Monday remain major demand events. Strong October spending does not mean sellers should exhaust promotional budgets or inventory early.
What to Do Now
Immediate operational check. Review what converted during Big Deal Days, identify the price points and bundles that worked, and use those findings to adjust Black Friday and Cyber Monday inventory and advertising plans.
Bigger Picture Signal
Q4 is stretching. Holiday demand increasingly starts in October, which rewards brands that can manage inventory and promotions across multiple demand spikes instead of betting everything on Cyber 5.

USPS Holiday Shipping Surcharges Are Now Live

USPS seasonal package pricing is now in effect for the holiday period, adding another Q4 margin pressure for FBM and DTC sellers.
What Changed
Temporary pricing applies to Priority Mail Express, Priority Mail, USPS Ground Advantage, and Parcel Select through January 17, 2027.
Commercial increases vary by product, weight, and zone. For example, Ground Advantage and Priority Mail commercial increases start at $0.40 for lighter nearby shipments and can reach several dollars for heavier or longer distance packages. Priority Mail Express commercial increases reach as high as $18.20 for heavier Zone 5 through 9 shipments.
Why It Matters
Holiday shipping increases are easy to overlook when teams focus on Amazon FBA peak fees.
Brands fulfilling Shopify, TikTok Shop, Walmart, Amazon FBM, or other direct orders need to account for carrier inflation across the entire channel mix.
What Is Not Changing
The temporary adjustment does not apply to every USPS product. The increases also expire after the holiday period.
What to Do Now
Immediate operational check. Rerun Q4 shipping margins using actual package weight, zone mix, and service level rather than relying on normal season rates.
Bigger Picture Signal
Marketplace profitability increasingly needs to be modeled across the full fulfillment stack. Peak season fees are no longer an Amazon specific issue.
Walmart Just Launched Its Version of A+ Content

Walmart is giving eligible brand owners a new way to add richer branded content directly to product detail pages. Brand Highlights combines imagery, video, and text in a self service format.
What Changed
Eligible brand owners can create Brand Highlights inside Seller Center and apply the content to as many as 500 items at once.
The experience supports images, video, and text designed to explain the brand and provide additional product information beyond the standard listing content.
Why It Matters
This fills a meaningful content gap between Walmart and Amazon.
Brands already investing in Amazon A+ Content should now think about Walmart product pages as another conversion asset rather than simply syndicating the minimum content required to get the listing live.
What Is Not Changing
Brand Highlights does not replace titles, descriptions, attributes, images, or the rest of Walmart’s core item setup requirements.
What to Do Now
Immediate operational check. Eligible brands should identify their highest traffic and highest revenue Walmart SKUs and begin building Brand Highlights before holiday traffic peaks.
Bigger Picture Signal
Walmart continues adding the merchandising and conversion tools brands already expect from Amazon. The platform is gradually reducing the feature gap that historically made Amazon listings much more sophisticated.

Amazon Gives Sellers More Control Over When Partial Refunds Are Offered

Amazon is making its FBA Partial Refunds program more configurable. Sellers can now decide which customer return reasons should qualify for a partial refund rather than applying the same approach across every eligible return.
What Changed
FBA sellers in the U.S., UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and Canada can configure partial refund percentages based on return reason.
Sellers can establish as many as three configurations across their catalog or upload a file specifying eligible ASINs, return reasons, and refund percentages.
When an eligible customer accepts the offer, they keep the product rather than sending it back to an FBA fulfillment center.
Why It Matters
Not every return reason has the same economics.
For inexpensive products, buyer remorse, fit issues, or other appropriate cases, allowing the customer to keep the item may cost less than return shipping, processing, inspection, potential disposal, and lost inventory value.
The added controls make the program much more useful because brands can decide where that tradeoff actually makes sense.
What Is Not Changing
Amazon determines whether the customer qualifies for a partial refund based on customer profile and purchasing history. Ineligible customers continue through the standard return process.
What to Do Now
Immediate operational check. Review return reasons and economics at the ASIN level. Identify products where return processing costs regularly approach or exceed the value recovered from the returned unit.
Bigger Picture Signal
Amazon is giving sellers more tools to manage the economics of returns instead of treating every return as the same operational event.

Walmart Is Testing Putting Marketplace Seller Inventory Inside Its Stores

Walmart is testing a potentially major change to Marketplace fulfillment: storing selected third party seller inventory inside Walmart stores so those products can be picked up or delivered alongside regular Walmart orders.
What Changed
Walmart Marketplace fulfillment SVP Kyle Carlyle said the retailer is testing ways to place eligible third party products inside stores.
That would allow selected Marketplace items to move through store pickup and same day delivery rather than shipping exclusively from seller warehouses or Walmart fulfillment centers. Walmart has not disclosed the participating sellers, store count, or broader rollout timeline.
Why It Matters
Walmart’s biggest logistics advantage over Amazon is its store network.
If Marketplace sellers eventually gain access to that infrastructure at scale, a third party product could move from being several days away to being available within hours.
What Is Not Changing
This is a limited test, not a nationwide seller program. Sellers cannot currently elect to place Marketplace inventory inside Walmart stores.
What to Do Now
No action required, monitor closely. Brands using WFS should watch which categories and inventory profiles Walmart selects for the test.
Bigger Picture Signal
Walmart is beginning to connect Marketplace more deeply to the physical store network. That could become one of the clearest ways Walmart differentiates its fulfillment proposition from Amazon.
A Small AI Shopping Study Suggests Product Cards May Become the New Buy Box

A new behavioral study provides an early look at how shoppers make decisions inside AI shopping experiences. The sample is small, but the results suggest placement inside product cards may matter nearly as much as being recommended in the AI response itself.
What Changed
Researchers observed 40 U.S. shoppers completing 224 shopping tasks across ChatGPT and Google AI Mode.
Within the study, 84% of final ChatGPT product selections came from product cards, 75% of first interactions were with product cards, and 43% of selections went to the first product card shown.
At the seller level, 76% of offer selections went to the first offer card.
Why It Matters
AI visibility may develop two separate battles.
First, a brand needs to be recommended. Then its product and offer need to win inside the structured shopping interface based on image, title, price, availability, and delivery.
That looks increasingly similar to the relationship between Amazon search visibility and the Buy Box.
What Is Not Changing
This is a vendor commissioned study with only 40 participants. It should be treated as directional evidence, not a universal benchmark for AI shopping behavior.
What to Do Now
Light prep recommended. Keep product feeds, titles, images, pricing, availability, and structured attributes clean across marketplaces and DTC. These inputs are likely to determine how products appear when AI platforms build shopping experiences.
Bigger Picture Signal
Generative search optimization may not stop at getting mentioned in an AI answer. The next competitive layer is earning premium placement inside the commerce interface that follows the answer.
